Roadmap to Recovery in conjunction with Solano Public Health Recommendations

Suisun Valley Inn is an 8-bedroom Inn situated on 27 acres in Suisun Valley. We are licensed by Solano County to hold outdoor events with up to 250 guests. In early March 2020 when it became apparent how serious the Covid-19 crisis was becoming, and prior to Governor Newsom’s Stay-at-home order, we offered everyone who had made a reservation for the second or third quarter a full refund or free rescheduling of their reservation. As a result, all but one of our reservations from mid-March through July have been cancelled or rescheduled. All events at Suisun Valley Inn are private parties attended by invitation only.

Solano Public Health has requested all businesses create a plan as to how they plan to reopen which ensures compliance with public safety. County literature is not specific as to what defines large gatherings, but the CDC recommends that events which expect to draw over 250 people be considered High Risk. For the remainder of 2020, we are voluntarily reducing our capacity by 50% so any gathering will not exceed 125 guests. This, the fact that all events are held outdoors, and the implementation of social distancing guidelines outlined below categorize us as a Medium Risk business in Solano County.

FOR EVENTS - For weddings and events that cannot be rescheduled, hosts should contact their guests a week before the event describing what to expect and request that if they are feeling ill on or immediately prior to the event they should not plan to attend. Hosts will need to provide the names and contact information for all guests in the event contact tracing is required. We have upgraded our wi-fi so that hosts may live-stream their event to friends unable to attend. Guests will be asked to bring a mask, but masks will be provided for any guest who does not have a mask.

Appropriate signage recommended by Solano Public Health and the CDC outlining safety precautions will be prominently displayed. A Master of Ceremony will make an announcement before the event begins reiterating the need to wear facial masks and maintain social distancing while emphasizing the Hosts have expressly requested guests comply for the safety of all present.

Seating for ceremonies and receptions will allow members of the same household to sit together, but others will be seated in pairs with 6’ distance between couples.
Automated hand sanitizing stations have been installed with easy access for all guests.

If dancing is offered during the event, use of the grass and patio will be encouraged to allow for social distancing. If a dance floor is installed, tape will be used to indicate 36 square foot sections.

Suisun Valley Inn will provide personnel for frequent disinfecting of bathrooms and other areas of guest access during events. We will also have an employee on site to ensure compliance with these procedures.

FOR RENTALS OF THE INN ONLY – The Inn is licensed by the Solano County Environmental Health Division as a hotel and is periodically inspected. Our housekeeping staff are trained in enhanced cleaning & sanitizing protocols as prescribed by the County Public Health Department with products approved by the CDC. Current Licenses and Operating Permits are on display in the common area of the Inn.
